About HWG
Hunter Wedding Grapevine is a young and vibrant organisation. It's currently the largest bridal industry networking group in the Newcastle area and our membership covers the Hunter vineyards, Maitland, Central Coast & Port Stephens. We currently enjoy a membership of over 120 businesses which is clearly the largest association of networking wedding businesses in this region ~ perhaps even the biggest in Australia.
Hunter Wedding Grapevine is not just a simple directory ~ our members are recognised and selected by Hunter Wedding Grapevine management as leaders in their field, experienced operators who will do their utmost to make your day something really special.
We are a diverse group ranging from major hotel management chains to smaller businesses like makeup artists, hand made jewellery and award winning photographers!
Our expos are the biggest in the region providing many more exhibitors than any of our competitors. Our 2008 "Summer at City Hall" expo in January featured almost 90 exhibitors and attracted a crowd of nearly 1500 people. We attract consistently large crowds full of couples who intend to book services while they enjoy the elegant atmosphere.
With long and successful careers in advertising both nationally & internationally, the management of HWG uses this experience to create focused and effective marketing - our aim is to provide both our members and the public with:
1. Cost effective, high quality expos at premier venues with a warm, contemporary and prestigious ambience.
2. Well balanced expos with a broad selection across all categories. We have also moved away from the traditional ' flea market ' style of presentation that has most often occurred in the past. Couples want style and substance on their wedding day and that's what our expos are designed to reflect.
3. A support network consisting of a comprehensive web site which is up-dated daily and a high quality booklet / magazine containing the details of all our members, not just the ones who participated in the latest expo.
4. To provide networking and marketing opportunities for our members on a continual basis. We have the " Lunch Club " on the first Wednesday of every month, information nights before each expo and other nights such as our ' girls night out ' and our Christmas party. We also run promotions on NX FM & KO FM on a continual basis.

Hunter Wedding Grapevine also proudly supports HCRF ( Hunter Children's Research Foundation ) ~ so far in 2008 we have provided them with almost $4,000 in donations and we still have the 'Spring at City Hall" expo to go!
